Privacy, plainly
InstaStylr has no accounts, no cookies and no advertising. Here is everything it keeps, and where.
Your posts stay in your browser
What you write, your saved posts, your settings and your recent fonts are stored in your own browser on your own device (its "local storage"). They are never sent to a server. Clearing your browser's data for this site deletes them, and they don't follow you to another device.
Counting visits
Each page asks the server for a tiny image tagged with the page's name, and the app's buttons say which one was pressed. That tells me how many people read each page and which button led them to the app. No cookie is set and no profile is built; the counts are read from the server's log.
The server's log
Like almost every website, the web server writes a standard line for each request: the address the request came from, the time, the page and the browser's name. These logs are deleted after 14 days. They are not shared or sold.
No third parties
Fonts, images and code are all served from this site. Nothing is loaded from Google, Facebook or any analytics or ad network.
